Overview of The Hitting Vault

The Hitting Vault is an online membership community developed by Coach Matt Lisle and Aaron James in 2016 that teaches hitting. Our online membership community consists of baseball and softball players, coaches and parents that are trusting us to help them unlock their potential and reach their goals. Our members range from parents and coaches of youth players, all the way to professional and collegiate level players and coaches. The Hitting Vault is one of the leading voices in both softball and baseball with a combined reach of over 1M followers on social media.

The Hitting Vault is the most effective and most popular online hitting membership. Our product transforms athletes and coaches.

We are a small, passionate, remote team that has always put serving our customers as our top priority. Because of this, we are looking for the best Community Lead to join our team.

Overview of the Position

Our Community Lead is the knowledgeable concierge, smiling face and the first point of contact to onboard customers to our products and services. We offer personalized onboarding to make sure they can use the product properly to reach their goals. Basically you help make sure they love The Hitting Vault.

Primarily through written and personalized video communication, they are positive, patient, empathetic and clear. Experience on CMS and CRM digital platforms will get preference.

At The Hitting Vault, customer feedback is priceless, and you will be the first line of defense for feedback from our customers and reporting that directly to management when necessary. A key function of this role will be to gather that feedback and provide actionable insights to improve our members’ experiences. Problem-solving also comes naturally to our Community Lead.

This position is different from our Customer Support role. We have that position covered.

Much more proactive than reactive. It’s focused on checking-in with members, encouraging upgrades, surprising them with gifts and elevating the membership experience. We want our customers talking about The Hitting Vault with their friends and reviewing our product online.

Skills/Responsibilities

  • You’re an excellent communicator across mediums (email, video conferencing, phone)
  • Ability to stay organized and understand basic digital platforms (WordPress, Email support software, Video Chat and Recording Messages)
  • Natural problem solver and take pride in the experience of our members
  • Willing to learn new platforms and digital tools for support
  • Baseball/Softball experience preferred, but not required

Day to Day Activities

  • Daily outreach to new members and customers during their trial period
  • Offering new products and upgrades to grow and retain customers
  • Respond to each individual inquiry with compassion, and enthusiasm for our members’ experience
  • Completing daily outreach to cancelled or expired members to get them re-engaged with the membership
  • Identify and troubleshoot member issues as they arise along with completing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Compensation

$14-20 and hour depending on experience. Approximately 15-20 hrs per week to start.

This is an Independent Contractor / 1099 Position

You’ll be delivering specialty services for us and will be working remotely in your own space with your own equipment. Contractor can propose a consistent routine that works within their time schedule for approval.
