One of my favorite hitting metrics for baseball and softball hitters is exit velocity. As hitters, the most basic goal we should have is to hit the ball hard. When we hit the ball hard with good exit velocity, chances are good things will happen.
How should we measure exit velocity? Is my exit velocity average, good or elite? These can be tough questions to answer as a parent or coach looking to help out their hitters.
